I was honorably discharged from the USMC in 1995. In 2011 I tried for 7 months, to obtain a copy of my DD214. I finally received a letter from NPRC stating that my records were nowhere to be found. There was nothing else they could do for me. It was extremely demoralizing to say the least. Fast forward 3 years. It's now March 2014.
